Type rating in the US, validity in Europe?
Hello,
I'm just wondering... Can you get a type rating on a beech 200 in the US and then go to europe and it's valid there? Anybody know a good place to get a type rating (B200) that is valid in europe, and is good quality training at a reasonable price? thanks |
EightsOnPylons,
In the U.S.A. the BE-200 does not require a type rating since its max gross weight does not exceed 12,500 lbs. The only King Airs requiring Type Ratings in the U.S.A. are the BE-300, BE-350 and BE-1900. Happy Flying, Capt. Richard J. Gentil, Pres. Naples Air Center, Inc. |
Thanks for your reply Mr. Gentil!
How about ratings for the beech 300 and their validity in Europe? Is it possible to do the type rating in the US and it's valid in Europe? |
Eights on Pylon
I cannot sonfirm the US to EU however I can confirm that a European type rating is not valid in the US

EightsOnPylons,
I am sorry I do not train pilots at this level and cannot answer as to the Validity in E.U. There are many people in this forum that will know the answer and I am sure they will respond soon. If you do not receive an answer soon, give the CAA a call. They are the governing authority on validity. Take Care, Richard |
