Forumforpilots and Abacus
Anyone had any experience of forumforpilots.com and their JAA exam aid program called Abacus?
Email from them says 10 months full access 280.00 or 5 months for 180.00. Dunno if this is Euro's, Pounds Sterling, Gold Beans or what. Thanks for any views. VFE. |

I've just had a look at this site. Check out last week's 'Question of the Week':
*When flying 'gyro' on a transoceanic or polar flight near the North Pole, what is the precession due to? A) True North B) Grid North. C) Magnetic north. D) Compass north. er...... none of the above? This week's is better. |
Alex, that question looks very familiar.... ;)

Ah! 'Nuff said Alex. ;)

No I wasn't saying it was one of 'our' questions, I was saying it is complete rubbish.
Precession is caused by a force acting on the gyro, 'a latitude nut' would be a good answer. If the question has confused precession and transport wander a good answer would be 'the changing difference between the true north and grid north datums'. As it sits it's just babble. |
