Received notification from IAA on 12/12 and then received the physical licence and medial through on 24/12.

As far as I see, they are fast and good at speaking English. I had asked them some questions related to my license in the past. They had responded in a few days with a long and satisfactory article. I can say that they are a pilot friendly. |
Are they the Fins still accepting SOLI applicants from UK ? now the transition period has elapsed...

So a Finnish person could get a Finnish initial class one, SOLI to the UK but continue getting every single medical done in Finland, and the Finns would still insist on another initial medical.
Where does that leave the status of the latest medical then? Legal or not? Since a medical can be held without an associated licence, can a student pilot go solo with an 'orphan' medical? It seems strange that you could undergo a medical examination, be issued a medical certificate and that certificate be effectively worthless. |
I guess it depends on what the Finns do with the medical info they held when they were the SOLI. If they send it to the new SOLI state (who have to hold the medical records) and then press 'delete'? In the case of the UK they sent my med details to Ireland as part of the SOLI process but also retained them and then when regaining a UK licence the med bit was relatively simple and now both UK and IE hold my med records which are updated every time I revalidate both medicals (at the same time, with the same AME, with two lots of ppw. And Cellma).
