Can I do my IR conversion anywhere in europe?

Hi,
I've got an Australian CPL(A) and multi engine command instrument rating (both current).
I've completed the 14 UK JAA ATPL theory exams, so I know that to get my JAA CPL(A), I have to do my practical training and test at a UK FTO.
What I want to know is can I do my IR conversion at a FTO anywhere in europe, or does it have to be in the UK?
As I'm living in France near Geneva, I'd really like to do it nearby.
Thanks in advance for any useful information.

As long as the school is a appovered JAA school then you can do it in Europe.

The conversion time depends on flying ability and how current you are.

Its not so much JAA anymore any school approved by EASA will do just fine.

Well actually licensing is still under JAR- so JAR approved school for now. EASA is only for operations an ground engineers at the moment.

You won't find a single school offering EASA approved courses as EASA licensing hasn't even come into effect.

Thanks guys. I also contacted the CAA. Of course they didn't give me a yes/no answer, just referred me to the relevant section of lasors. Reading this it looks ok to do it elsewhere in europe.
