Leeds Degree

i was in the same situation as you, i chose to do the degree - aviation tech and pilot studies. and fully regret it,

basically its an engineering degree with a ppl put on the side, you will have one lecture a week in aviation the rest is fully of materials, maths, studying skills, transport studies.. but one hour a week!!! you sit all your ground exams roughly one every three weeks, so with the rest of the work it gets pretty full on for a first year.

When i was there, due to the northern bad weather the current 2/3 of previous year students were waiting to start flying training. the flying is done at sheffield or carlsile it seems to keep changing depending on the weather...well it seemed like that. definetly not at leeds anyway.

anyway i left after the first year and have started flight training in the us and about to start my atpls. feel free to email me if you have any questions on the course, and bear in mind i'm only one in the course of 90, and maybe some others as well.

If you dropped out after first year Lowen how do you know what the course is like? Did you leave or did your exam results suggest you should?

And the flying is done in Yorkshire (but not at Sheffield) not in Carlsile just to clear that up.
