Monday is Decision Day
Ok I'm fed up waiting and worrying about the bloody CAA Class 1.
I'm going to pay for a PPL on Monday. One lucky school is going to have me for four weeks intensive training. But....and here's my final question on this subject. Because I might be refused the CAA Class 1, and have to go the FAA route. Does UKEFTs JAR/JAA compliant ICAO PPL allow me to jump into an F reg aircraft here in France - and then if I'm bumped out of doing an JAA ATPL - can I still use the ICAO PPL in the States? Thanks and so sorry for harping on about this! Wayne |
You can use the ICAO PPL in the USA, you just need to take it to the local FSDO and get a FAA PPL issued. The FAA PPL that's issued will be 'restricted', i.e. all the restrictions on your ICAO PPL will apply to your FAA PPL.
