Multi engine CPL (more than 28hrs)??

For those that have done a Multi CPL, did you find that you needed a lot more hours on the MEP than the 8 hour minimum before sitting the CPL test or were those 8 hours enough to get u ready for the exam? I'd just like to get a good idea of the possible costs involved if I choose this route.

Thanks :ok:

I went over time and somewhat over budget. I was crap though.

I think I am a better pilot for it though. Well, I like to think so. I'm probably still crap.

Billins Air Services at Cranfield are doing an IR course that gives you all 55 Hours on a PA34-200T at a lower cost than some schools that give you MUCH less twin. Got to be worth a look at least. (I know we're talking CPL's here but just wanted to make the point!)
