Sandy Thompson, ATA Coventry
Have heard the unpleasant news that cancer has returned and it is not known how long Sandy has to go. Spoke to Hilary recently and Sandy is his usual indomitable self. As an idea I suggested that current and ex-students of ATA Coventry organise a party at the Old Mill to celebrate Sandy's life and achievements. I am certain that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of commercial pilots who owe thier career to Sandy getting them through the CAA and JAA exams.
If anyone is interested post here.

It doesnt look like we are going to be able to organise a get together in the coming months for one reason or another, but I do know that we can cheer Sandy up in another way.
For those that have been trained by Sandy, it would be great if you could write a wee note or letter to him outlining what you have been up to since you last saw him. It doesnt need to be much, just a quite message of support and thanks would mean the world to him.
The best way would be to send your letters to :
Sandy Thompson
c/o ATA,
Airpark,
Rowley Road,
Coventry.

Many thanks.
