Orlando Flight Training
I'm about to go out to OFT for 6 months to start my PPL and then go onto commercial. Can anyone give me some info on the place?
Also, I want to see a bit of the US while I'm out there - is there a chance to travel or is the course so intense that i should throw away my US tourist book and buckle down...

If you do a PPRuNe search for OFT or Orlando Flight Training you will be able to find lots of opinions and experiences.
I managed to travel up the East Coat up to New York (Although not in a plane) after my course and I stayed in Florida for 6 weeks as oppsoed to 6 months, So I'd imagine you would have plenty of time even if you are doing the CPL as well.
