1)
Refer to CAP 697 SEP1 fig 2.2. A flight has to be made with the SEP 1. for the fule calculation allow 10lbs for start up and taxi, 3mins and 1 gallon of additional fuel to allow for the climb, 10mins and no fuel correction for the descent.
Planned flight time (overhead to overhead) is 3hrs 12mins. reserve fule 30% of the trip fuel. power setting is 25HG (or full throttle) 2100rpm, 20c lean, fl70 and oat is 11c. the minimum block fuel is:
a) 283lb <-----answer
b) 268lb
c) 215kg
d) 252kg
2)
for a planned flight the claculated fle is as follows:
flight time is 2hr 42min the reserve fuel at any time should not be less than 30% of trip fuel remaining, block fuel is 136kg, taxi fuel is 9kg
how many kg of fuel should remain after 2hrs flight?
a) 33kg and 10kg reserve
b) 25kg and 8kg reserve <-------answer
c) 23kg and 10kg reserve
d) 33kg and no reserve
3)
refer to cap 697 mep1, fig 3.3
given: trip time 2hr 37min from eparture to destination at 2500rpm, 65% power. for the climb and descent add 13mins of cruise fuel. reserve = 30% of trip fuel. taxy fuel is 5 usg. what is the min ramp fuel
a) 88gal
b) 93gal
c) 120gal
d) 115gal
4)
refer to cap697 mrjt1 fig 4.5.2 and 4.5.3.1
given:
lrc at fl340
distance c-d = 3200nm
temp devn from isa = +12c
t/w component = 50kt
gross mass at c = 55,000kg
wat is fuel required c-d
a) 17500kg
b) 14200kg
c) 17800kg
d) 14400kg <---------answer
5)
refer to cap 697 mrjt fig 4.3.1c
within the limits of the data given, a mean temperature increase of 30c will effect the trip time by approx.
a) -5% <-----answer
b) +5%
c) +8%
d) -7%
thanks for the help
