JAA Conversion

I am considering obtaining a FAA ATP with 500 multi engine hours, which I will look to convert to JAA ATPL in the next couple of years.I have already undtaken some of the JAA theory,although I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light as to the cost of the conversion and whether any credit will be awarded for the US multi engine time.
