Restricted CPL

Hey guys. As some of you may have seen in the medical section I failed my lantern test at the CAA yestruday. Obviously I am really upset and am now trying to assess what options I now have.

I was told after my test that I could get a restricted CPL and that I as with the restricted PPL would not be allowed to fly at night. Does anyone have any information about this? Is it a good option to take? or would it be extremly hard to find a job?

I suppose you could work as an instructor with a restricted CPL, or do aerial photography, banner towing, para dropping.

Most GA jobs really. (Prob not air taxi....)

I think there are other JAR colour vision tests available - appeal?

Try the FAA route. There "lattern test" is the aldis lamp from ATC tower at night. Practical.
