Has anyone tried the ATP Academy's scheme?
If so, is it worth it? How many people have found work through the scheme. I have read the Academy's own literature about the scheme, but before I hand over £250, I wondered if I could ask for some feedback from others who may have been there already?
Many thanks

Ivan,
You have to get thru the aptitude tests and then a sim ride and then an interview with a prospective company before you are officially on the scheme.
Believe me, handing over £250 is just the beginning of an exhaustive recruitment process. But, believe me if u r lucky enough to be accepted, the scheme is excellent.

Ivan,
Did the selection myself last year. Bombed out on the sim stage. My colleague in the sim made it through and is now flying with JMC. From the twenty (approx) initially only four made it to the sim and only two made it on the scheme.
Yes it is worth it, but think long and hard about the lack of cash while training. If you have the offer of a turbo job at the time it is better to take that from a short term finacial view.
And £250 quids is a lot to spend if you crash out at the first stage.
Best of luck,
Vigi

As the search facility is off line at the moment, I realise it is difficult to search the archives for this info.
I've had a few requests for this info and I've now made it available from my site in the downloads section. Right click on the link in the downloads secion and select "Save As" then select the location.

I did the ATP scheme assessment day, but cocked up, it's quite hard. If you get through that and the sim, its rewarding. I have friends at Air 2000, Jmc and Go, all have gone through this scheme. Fantastic if you get it, I didn't pay £250 cos I did my MCC there, but I feel £250 would be well worth spending, cos if you get through, your sorted!!!
