If you can't get a seminar place then come to the Xmas Gatbash. It is on the same day at the same location and there are still plenty of places available. You will meet lots of other wannabes and pilots, so it is still a good oportunity to pick up some tips. For further info see under PPRunNe Bashes.

I sent my cheque for the seminar on Thursday. Are you going to post a list where you confirm receipt of the dosh? (I just don't trust Royal Mail.)

There does not seem to be many people signed up for the Christmas bash as yet. Can I take it as read that those PPruNers who attend the seminar will be welcomed and indeed encouraged to attend in the evening? Not having been to a PPruNers' party yet, it would be good if some of the attendees were Wannabees.

Went to the last seminar.....well worth it....only regret was that I couldn`t stay for the bash after.IFR worked a deal on the prices of rooms,if you can spare the time stop for the bash as well.(Must be 18 though,cos I believe that there is some drinking done.)

By all means attend the bash if you are 18 or over. You can get all the details on the PPRuNe Bashes forum. Look for the CHRISTMAS GATBASH thread and follow the yellow brick road. The room prices are now lower than before so best to book soon.

IFR, sorry not checked this thread for a few days. Money is on the way first thing. Is there a central way to book rooms at the hotel for the bash or is it just arrange yourself?

Could you possibly give a bit more detail as to the breakdown of the format of the various forums which will take place?
ie, What proportion of the time is given to beginners, those in training, and those perhaps waiting for a job? Do the forums take place simultaneously, or are they in sequence for everbody to attend? ( Which could, of course, be covering old ground for the latter two groups)

I have done something today which I promised myself I would not do. That is e-mailing those people who seemingly cannot be bothered to get to send their confirmation of attendance at the seminars.
That was 38 e-mails. Had to find the addresses first - or send private messages. It took over 2 hours.
What I am doing is for you guys, no-one else. So please do me the courtesy of either sending me your chqs or say you are not going after all. EVEN those 'begging' for places have not bothered. But then, I have had that before.
If I have not heard from all 38 within THREE WEEKS I will withdraw your names and give the place to someone else.
For those who thought they didn't have a chance to get on the seminars, I suggest you add your name to this thread.

Wake up chaps.
As someone who benefited from the last day of seminars, I know how much effort IFR, 10W, Raw Data, Hamrah, WWW, Grandad Flyer, StopStart, 10W, Scroggs, SickSquid, et al put into organising this day. (And believe me, a hungover IFR at 0730Z is not a pretty sight).
You aren’t exactly going to impress them with your burning passion to be airline pilots if you shout “Me me me” and then can’t be bothered to stick a cheque in the post – a cheque which, incidentally, is for a laughably small amount considering the expertise you’ll come face to face with.
Then again Don, don’t bother chasing – let me come instead. I promise I’ll be a good boy.

I have to agree,having been to the last one.IFR has taken a lot of time to sort this out.Everyone who attended to help in the seminars did so in their own time , some travelling quite a distance.
There is a great wealth of experience there waiting to be used.So come on if you want your place pull your finger out!!!
