Thumbs up UK after US

Just to let any one wondering about doing PPL in the US and worried about the move back.

Thats me happy now flying in the UK. Its taken 3 hours of lessons / checkout and a couple of solo x-countrys, another 3 hours, to be sure i have my bases covered.

The main differences are the RT and the weather.

I didn't realise how easy xbrief was to use. And how much time it requires in the UK to pull the same data out.

As for the RT maybe the banging on the wall and getting "get it right ars@hole" shouted at me during the RT test actually did the trick because apart from some "runway vacated" and other pants phrases things arn't to bad. In fact it is easier here because you know what the format of the return message will be, and everyone doesn't read everything back.

Anyway here's hoping Leeds is as friendly as Preswick when i move south for the CPL training.
