Question how does an Ozy get into the States.

Anyone know anyway for an Australian to get a work visa for the USA (besides getting married)?. I want to do some training there but only if i can get work afterwards.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

purpletank,

As long as you do not have any U.S. Ratings, you can get a J-1 Visa, which allows you to train in the U.S. When your training is completed you can work as a flight instructor for the remainder of your 2 year J-1 Visa.

Hope this helps.

Not 100% sure, so you'll have to check it out with a flight school that issues J-1 visas, but in order to qualify for a J-1 you can't have anything more than a PPL.

Other than the J-1, the only visa you can get easily is an M-1. The down side is that you can only work for a mximum of 20 hours per week.
