Question Rotary Training

am really interested in gaining Heli PPL, anyone got any advice as to costings and decent training schools as my searches on the net have not yielded many results apart from trial lessons for £170 for a half hour....

this price seems quite steep, is it par for the course???

As far as I know helicopter training is about 2 1/2 times as expensive as fixed wing, probably about £200-£250 per hour. The course is the same length (min. 45 hours) I think. Go to the Flyer magazine website where you can get a list of helicopter schools.
