Bit of a Newbie!

Hey, I am new to these forums and to flying in general. I have just had my first taster flight and am looking forward to being my training and hopefully into a career in aviation. I am wondering how hard it is to get a job once you trained in PPL, Commercial etc, the whole kit and kaboodle. I would be training at BCFT as I live about 5 mins up the road from it! Anymore hints and helpers will be much appreciated!

Thanks for your help, I'm going to need it!

Cheers

Simon

G'day Simon,
Welcome.
Spend some time going over these forums and indeed ones like "Reporting Points" etc and you'll get a real feel for the industry.
Getting your first job will be very hard. It's always been like that.
Make sure you plan your licenses carefully and you have Plan B and Plan C up your sleeve.
Use the search function and you should get all the info you need.
Also, meet and talk to people in the industry. It's vital. PPRuNe and BALPA have big gatherings for folk just like yourself.
Note, you need to be a member of BALPA to attend. (It's the pilot union, doesn't cost much to join). I guess BALPA is more relevant once you have your licence.
