Post MCC at MCT

Just finished an MCC course with Multi Crew Training at Bournemouth. If you're considering doing an MCC course you can do no better than try these guys.

All the instructors are amongst the most experienced airline pilots you will find and can pass on first class tips for all aspects of the course and beyond.

The sim work is done in a full motion Tristar sim and the exercises are pretty representative of airline flying.

For those thinking of trying to get away without the expense of an MCC, then all I can advise is that 20 hours in the Tristar has done more to prepare me for an airline career than anything else so far. It's also been excellent preparation for any sim assessments that may come my way.

No, I'm not on the pay role, but I received a great deal of feedback from others when trying to decide on whether to do the course, so I ought to report back and give my opinion.

They also threw in a free 737 jump seat ride with European Aviation Air Charter, whose facilities they use.

That alone is worth this shameful plug!

IMY,

I'm booked on the next MCC course at SFT. I believe that they use the same sims as MCT. Do you have any hints or tips before I go?

yes, SFT use the same tristar, though I'm not sure that you will fly the same exercises as with MCT. They fly various routes to and from major UK airports which adds extra interests. However it will same time if you learn and practise the after take off procedures since it all happens quite fast, particularly if you're following a SID. It's good fun, though.

Enjoy it.
