Arrow Moderators??

Just a little point - in R&N the moderators are pretty damm quick at removing posts that have no relevance or use to Jet Blast or even in some cases the bin.

Any chance of the wannabes moderators doing the same? With special attention to the likes or Ronchonners drivel and the frequent slagging of various flight schools - might make life a wee bitty simpler no?

Yep Tunneler I agree with you, specially about Ronchonner's annoying participation since he has nothing constructive to say.
Since some seems to enjoy him well I guess Jetblast would be an appropriate place to have that kind of sterile debate.

It's the diversions here that make these forums interesting. If it wern't for the likes of henri, Ronchy, The Govnor, Slasherand throber69 (where's throber?) these forums would be much the poorer.

Had a bad week tunneler?

Could not agree more Tunny.
There seem to be too many pointless topics on Wannabes these days with little relevance to becoming a pilot.

Bin 'em!!

VFE.

PS: The Ronchonner thing's become abit of an Albatross now. Let's move on.

Fair comment T and others. I have over the past week done just that. Other moderators do the same as long as they are not working.

Scanning the forums takes a lot of time but we do get to it. Idiotic individuals can be funny at times, but we do, like you, get fed up with some of them and either delete them or move them to Administration where Danny will take the final decision on whether to put it back. It has been known for him to apply a ban too when he sees them.

The policy on flying schools is simple these days. We will not allow out and out slagging of any school anywhere. We will allow criticism, however severe, providing that the individual making the allegations is FULLY prepared to back up what he says by giving us his name and e-mail address. If anyone is NOT prepared to do that, then we will delete it as being something potentially damaging to PPRuNe.

However, HQ is anxious to ensure that our wannabes do not get treated badly by any school, and we will allow a lot more than we used to.

Hope that makes things a little clearer.

Sensible - If I wanted a laugh I'd look at www.jokes.com or look at JB. When I log onto pprune its to find out whats happening in the world of aviation etc.

What I dont really wanna see is "all JAR pilots have yellow tatoos on their dicks" when I'm trying to work out how the hell to shape my career.

Not having a bad week at all - just can live without all this crap.

Sensible,

I don't know how you can put Slashers name in the same sentence as Ronchonner!

Slasher has a brain and only comments on relevant topics of conversation to the thread.
In short, there is a big difference between banging on about the same old cr@p and posting a genuine funny post that has relevance.

VFE.

OK your input - as always - is noted and welcome.

I was initally very hard on Ronchonner but it seemed I was in the minority. I relented and largely ignored him assuming his supporters still found him funny.

Is its all wearing a bit thin then I'll put my size 9's on and put on my ass-kicking trousers a bit more frequently.

Wannabes has always has a humorous element and its controversial aspect. This is essential as earnestly worthy repitions along the lines of "How do I get in the BA" get very very tedious.

Cheers,

If no one answered back, the topic would slip down in no time....if you don't like what you see, just turn away.

AJ,

Very true, but I still enjoy kicking seven bells of s*** out of Ronnie as his posts have no relevance to the wannabees section on PPRuNe. Moderators have a hard job scanning these forums, which should be used to post threads that are relevant.

Ronnie, most of us in this part of the world think that you're a complete loser. Please move to another planet - like Uranus, which is just like you - all my ar$e!

Every offence intended Ronnie, as usual ok?

I'm not at all surprised that over the last few years that we've seen the same sort of "undesirables" contributing to this forum (and some other fora as well!!) Some are funny, some are tedious, some I have had a few confrontations with. The cycle continues.....

However, Slasher is a star, and nobody should forget that!!

Ok, I concede that Slasher is not in the same class as the others, however, he amuses me as do the others but for different reasons! I do remember a time though that Slasher was flamed by many on these forums for a posting !! Not by me! I hasten to add, I didn't see what all the fuss was about

VFE, I'm puzzled and I wonder if you can clear this up, you say in one of your posts on this topic, I quote:

"There seem to be too many pointless topics on Wannabes these days with little relevance to becoming a pilot."

Isn't this just one of those topics ? You've made four contributions to it so far and I feel a fifth maybe coming along soon!

edited to try tokeep up with counting VFE's multiple postings on this topic

I've made my thoughts about ROnch known on other threads. I'm all for moving his threads to JB and we can continue giving him a pasting there....
