Question RAEng Year In Industry

Anyone here done the Royal Academy of Engineering Scheme, Year in Industry? I just finished the EES, and thinking about the Year in Ind. for next Year...How was it, what was the pay like???

I don't know about the scheme you are talking about, but having worked for a company who took a lot of year-in-industry students (DERA, shortly to be known as something moronic like QinetiQ), I'd say that the year in industry degrees are a pretty good idea.

The pay is either great (if you compare it with being a student) or awful (if you compare it with actually working), but the experience it gives you will put you a long way ahead of non-YinI students when you graduate (although I'm not sure if that applies so much for becoming a pilot. Pretty much everything else, though). You will probably have a good time, too. Everyone I ever talked to enjoyed it.
