Wink How do you keep an ATPL current?

I want to get an ATPL so that I can work as a pilot sometime in the future, say about 10 years from now when I will be 40, but I am unsure if after gaining an ATPL which I can start in the next couple of years, do I have to fly commercially and regularly to keep myself current.

Any help/advice will be most appreciated.

PS: is there any part-time work for ATPL's.

First In order to get an ATPL you need to fly 1500 on multi crew ac. wich would involve beeing commited to a full time flying job for at least three years, second I think your chances of beeing hired ast age 40 without any comercial flight experiance are slim and none
