Hi there,

Perfect PFL, unfortunately I am driving - cannot stay over as I am up early on Sunday morning - never mind!

I think a few people will be driving by the sound of it.

TimC - I am confused too - speak to Helen!!

PFO: I've had an email from Helen, yes she was counting you in our group.

So that's two for me, not three .

Thumbs up

Hey I'm back!!!
If only courtesy of the local Internet Cafe!

It looks like we are in for a full turnout - fantastic.

I've decided that I'm going to be sporting a couple of helium ballons with the PPRuNe logo on so that I'm easily spotable! Should be interesting.

In my opinion the more the merrier and if someone isnt a wannabe and they want to come, maybe we can convert someone!

I'm looking forward to meeting you all and putting faces to daft names - see you all on Saturday.

Keep replying to Brian Clough because my internet access at work is non-existant (Asking me to do some work is quite unreasonable if you ask me)

In answer to PFO's question I too am driving.

I live in Bottesford (A52 towards Grantham) and I'm picking up Mr Clough on the way in so if anyone lives near there I have room for two more.

Mail Cloughie for my telephone numbers if i can giv anyone a lift.

Cheers

I'm 50, started flying 5 years ago, done 450 hours, and just got the IR, hence poor. Still don't know if wives, girlfriends etc coming.
For: I don't have to stay sober, can be driven back.
Against: She might find out how much we spend on training. That could be VERY expensive.
Suggestions??

24 & male
ex UAS - trying to fund 0-ATPL course whilst in a terminally boring job.

My other half won't be attending as she's never seen Pprune and all she knows about flying is that I love it and thats all she wants to know ! (I'm working on the conversion though)

23, male.

Also ex-UAS, 140hours, JAA PPL(A).
Trying to get sponsorship for either 0-ATPL, or PPL-ATPL. Got a job where it would take me about 50years to save up enough to self sponsor.

Where's a good place to park? Prefer to avoid expensive car parks if possible.
Look forward to meeting you all. I expect to be there at 1930Z.
I'm not bringing my better half because she can be unpredictable when the cost of flying training is discussed...

ps tried to post to the definitive thread but pprune wouldn't let me

PerfectPFL,

Get to the Saxondale roundabout (Thats the one at Bingham isnt it?)turn right, follow signs for Lowdham, East Bridgeford etc... Turn left at first roundabout following signs for Doncaster. At set of lights turn left (Following boundary of RAF Newton) Turn right at junction and follow road into Radcliffe. Turn right at junction and follow road to lights, turn right and you are now on the A52!! Taaaadaaaaa

Cool

aka DreamCatcher! - good to see you all. My ears have just stopped ringing after all the noise.

Thanks to TBL and others for the organisation. Takes a bit of faith when dealing with total strangers and possibly wind-up merchants.

Next one will be bigger and better.
