Cool Cant think of a good enough title ! ! ! !

Evening All !

At the risk of being shot down in flames by those of you that arnt interested....

Reading through this site it occured to me that sadly alot of peoples careers have been placed on HOLD following Sept 11th (including me).

Knowbody knows when the situation might change for the better (latter this year I hope) and anumber of you are having to keep the wolf from the door.

In an ideal world you would be able to pick up some aviation related job to keep you hand in OR a well paid ZZZZ job that allows to you fly.

I cant offer you a job in aviation. But as a serving Police Officer I can advise you on a job with the Police service (Police or Civi).

The pays not bad (for the younger Ppruners)and it is far from being zzzzzzz. Your not tied into serving for a minimum time and you get a pay packet every month...which will make your Bank Manager / CFI very happy ! ! !

Anyone that would like further info then please feel free to drop me a line...

If you not...then please dont even bother with the smart comments....Ive heard them all ! ! ! !

Best of Luck Anyway !

Cool

Good luck.

I don't think I could do that. The thought of dealing with irrational, angry, often idiotic members of the public every single day is something that would not make me jump out of bed in the morning, and would, no doubt, get to me after a while.

I'm far too much of a coward as well.

Dear No Sponsor

Thank you. You make some very valid points. We do have to deal with some very 'nasty' people.

However we also deal with some very nice people as well !

What I would say is that you quite often meet people when they are in 'abnormal' situations and (dispite what alot of people seem to think) HELP them !

You are going to face the public in 'similar' situations in an aircraft too. Their will be people with complaints, people requiring assistance, Air rage , first aid and giving the weather information at your destination !

I'm not suggesting that the Pilots should get envolved in any of the above (and would suggest that after Sept 11th they wouldnt / shouldnt).

However customer relations is a by-word in todays industry. If you can handle being a Police Officer I would suggest that your well on you way to being able to handle most customer relation problems too !

Its not for everyone - infact I would never ever suggest that - but if anyones interested in giving it ago (maybe prior to a flying career - or sadly maybe even after the end of one) then I'm here to assist them.

Thank you for your comments and GOOD LUCK !
