Angry ME IR = SE IR ??

Ok this is the deal.. .. .You go the the states with an approved sylabus by the Dutch CAA (then called RLD). You fly your hours, do all the nessesary test (PPL VFR --> CPL SE IR and VFR)with a Dutch examinar. Go home and when you are there the CAA (by that time NLA) decides you have flown 2 hours too much in the sim according the sylabus. So what happens, test aren't valid any more. You go on the the twin stage do the tests (CPL VFR and IR). And wen you get your licence it says ME VFR/IR only.. .What the f*** happend with the 140 hours SE.. .So, you fly 140h SE do the test (CPL VFR/IR), witch you pass, and fly 30h ME, you do almost the same test and you are only approved to fly ME!!!. .BTW the JAR/FLC says if you have an CPL ME IR you are allowed to fly SE under IFR conditions. (look it up for your self on www.jaa.nl) But it seems every state has its own regulations and excemptions.. .. .TopFly. .

Question

Being Dutch and having English as my second language didn't help me getting your point??. .. .Some quick questions and points:. .1) Who did you fly with? Which school. .2) I have bever come across doing to many hours in a sim unless you did not sufficient in an actual aircraft. . .3) Why did you do a seperate SE IR exam and a seperate MI IR exam? seems too expensive to me. .4)JAR rules are still slightly differant in most countries because we are a transtion phase. In general if you tell the NLA that you are trained to a latter standard JAA rules compared to their national requirements they will give you the right papers.

Under JAR the MEP IR covers you for SEP as well. No problem there.. .. .However, to exercise any privileges on SEP you need to have a SEP class rating, which it sounds like they 'forgot' to issue. I would go back to the Dutch authorities and ask why they did not include SE privileges before you try anything else. .. .Regards. .. .Gerard. .. .Ps: misschien wordt het tijd voor een Nederlandstalig forum op PPruNe!
