Trained at OFT?
Hi - I'm just finalising arrangements to start training at OFT in March - be grateful to hear experiences or tips from any previous students who have completed Modules 1 & 2 of the (f) ATPL. Especially interested if you have gone on to train further with EPTA or CCAT.
Warts and all please!
Thanks.....

Hi,
I spent nearly six weeks at OFT, in two trips, Jan & Apr 02.
I had a great time and the instructors are great when you get them in the air !!!
Some, not all, of the instructors are not the most reliable of foke. They come and go as the please because they only get paid for time in the air. If they don't turn up to the schedule you need to moan or you will get ***** off very quickly. The same applies if they swap and change instructors, which they tried to do with me.
Apart from that, I had a great time. I would recommend doing as many PPL exams in the UK as possible, then it prevents being up to all hours trying to get them out of the way in the US.
Try a trip down to Key West.........Its fantastic !!
KISM is a great little airport to learn to fly at. It is busy and has plenty of jet traffic as well.
