Question Where to after a PPL?

I am 17 and plan to take my PPL this summer in the states, in the long run I hope to do an ATPL, but after a PPL, how do you go about getting an ATPL? Is it cheaper to do a PPL and then an ATPL or is this a complete waste of my time and money?. .Please help I am really confused about all the jargon that surrounds the ATPL License!!!

Hi,. .You can go one of two ways....Modular or Intergrated course (Essentially part-time or full-time). .For the complete requirements check out the CAA SRG website, look for Licensing requirements Flight Crew, this will give you the answer you are looking for or phone the CAA.. .Consider phoning a flying school, they want your business so they should be very helpful!. .Regards Rodder . . . . [ 11 March 2002, 22:35: Message edited by: Rodders ]
