recruitment for BAC EXP, EASTERN AWYS

HI

Anyone has been invited for an interview with BAC or EASTERN AIRWAYS. What is their selection procedure and which bases they are recruiting for.

BACX will be making people redundant as a result of future shape and size 2 and the closure of several bases.Eastern will need some J41 pilots over the next 12 months.

Do not mistake BAC Express (Freight etc.) and BACE aka BA Citiexpress (J41 going + a few guys in the hold pool).

For Eastern then I would say Inverness if they get their BHX route started. Aberdeen is a possible and maybe Dundee if anyone leaves.

They're looking for J41 Captains to base in Newcastle according to PPJN. That's new info posted on the 14th so it must be accurate. They say the selection procedure consists of a one on one with the director of flight ops.

Sadly no mention of F/O recruitment?

Edit: The above is refering to Eastern Airways

Eastern are recruitng captains and f/o's for the J41 fleet operating out of both Newcastle and Leeds/Bradford. Expect vacancies to be filled by ex-BA CitiExpress crews, previous operators of a/c on those routes, but pay is less than before and crews not happy.

BAC Express have no vacancies on their fleet, but recently recruited captains for the Shorts 360.

BA CitiExpress have no recruitment plans at present as they are moving to an all jet fleet, so expect more disposals of turboprop a/c and crews. Everything on hold, including pilots in the holding pool.
