Post August ATPL Exam Results

I see that the CAA are excelling themselves yet again in the prompt and efficient way they are releasing the latest exam results. What takes them so long to run them through a scanner, print and post...??? Has anyone received theirs yet?

Nope, still haven't received them. Can't decide whether it is a blessing in delaying them or not.......

IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE THE END OF THE WEEK OR EVEN INTO NEXT WEEK AS ITS BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY. A FRIEND CONTACTED THE CAA ON MON AND THEY HAVE QUERIES OVER SOME QUESTIONS AND ALSO IT APPEARS THERES A COMPUTER PROBLEM !!!!!!!! . ALSO THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED, SO I BELIEVE, WHICH WAS FRIDAY , FOR BOOKING THE SEPTEMBER RE-SITS SO YOU NOW CANT DO THAT TILL OCTOBER!! AND THEIR NOT BUDGIN ON IT!! SO THEY MESS UP AND WE JUST OBVIOUSLY PAY THEM FOR THE PRIVELAGE !! GOOD LUK ANYWAY !! WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT PATIENTELY!!

They charge an absolute fortune to allow us to sit these exams and they cannot even provide us with an efficient service.

In other countries (non JAA of course) you sit the exam at a computer and get the result the second you finish the exam, complete with a list of the topics you did badly in.

We pay them over the odds only to be told that the exam centre we want is not available and then have to wait weeks to find out the result.

Interested to hear that no-ones got any results yet. I was wondering where mine was. Did the JAR Perf exam in August (Got everything else, including the Licence) but thought Royal Mail had lost my results. If I ever get told I have six weeks to live, might do a Kami-Karzi job on Aviation House.

With some people it's all me - me - me !!! Don't you realise the CAA have other more pressing things to do than look after your exam results - like count all that money they get .

That's far more important.

Unhappy

So there I was......

I had a restless night, and woke quite early, thinking my results would arrive. So I find I have another 24 hours to wait..and wonder. And now I get this news that it may take even longer.

I sat three resits, and if I pass them all, great! On with my course. If I failed even one, by 1%, complete disappointment and another 6 weeks (or I guess 5 now, thanks CAA) of study until I can have another crack at finishing.

Yet another day goes by without my dear old postie bringing me my results. Just the standard credit card bill (eek!). These were my last exams (hopefully). If I have passed I can move on to do some flying, which is why we all started this, if I fail its back to the drawing board. Either way I need to know.....!!!

Should they arrive tomorrow they will be a week late. Imagine if any of us were a week late with a payment to the CAA. When I sent the cheque for these exam fees, it was cashed within 3 days of me writing it! Maybe they should transfer some staff from accounts to FCL.

Everything is delayed by a week, CPL course which then delays the IR and so on. Not sure that my bank manager will be too happy when I have to start delaying debt repayment as the CAA can't mark exam papers within their own time guidelines.

COME ON..........!!!!!!!!!!

Where is my result!!!

What are you doing with my money, you B@%*!?ds!

You are certainly not improving aviation in this country. There's nothing Civil about stealing time and cash from the people you are meant to represent and look after!!

The CAA are really £"$%%^£ me off!!!!!

I have just got back from a lovely holiday in Cyprus expecting to see my exam results on the doorstep....now either my dog has ate them or they just have not arrived!!!!

Wishing to sort out what I am going to be doing or the next four weeks (CPL or Re-sits) it would be nice to know this side of Christmas.....even if the news is BAD!

I was quite shocked to see that I passed the majority. The questions is , with one resit, is it now too late for a resit in Sept ????
