chance of a job?

Hi,

Is there any job prospects for newly qualyifed pilots in America or UK with about 1000 hours?

I think youll have to be more specific. Are you fATPL/IR? Are any of your hrs multi, turboprop or jet? etc.
There are job prospects but not many.

I haven't yet got any hours, i am thinking of going to Comair to do my training, just wondered if there was any job prospects for when i finsih my course. Also has anyone been to comair? What is it like and how much is the housing? I am looking into going for a visit soon.

You'll be finishing a fATPL/IR course with 1000 hours ??!!! Wow, you must have very deep pockets.

There are dozens, probably hundreds, of good pilots in the UK with well over 1,000 hours, who are still languishing in the instructing world since the downturn last year ... and then again it seems everybody knows somebody who got onto the big iron with only a few hundred hours.

It's just too unpredictable at the moment, the most I can see in my crystal ball is that this year could be quite good or VERY VERY bad, mostly depending on how things go with ole George
