Post Learning on the other side

Hi all!
Right, I've been told that when I go over to the US in 2003, I'll be allowed to learn to fly there after we're finished, but I would like any advice on which schools over there as best for a CAA PPL. I know all the arguments of different weather etc over there, however it IS cheaper, and also quicker (i feel a lecture on how that's the wrong way to look at it!), so any advice is welcomed. Also, what is this JAA stuff going around? Is that us, Eu, UK or a mix of several???
Many thanks,
A confused Chris Wake
