OATS Phase One Brush-up Course

I am presently revising for the brush-up course and need some advice...

I have completed all my COAPS and am revising at the mo. I finshed some subjects months ago and although my recall isn't that bad I am concerned I won't finish revising all the subjects again before my brush-up.

Has anyone else had the same conerns? Do I need to really worry about revising everything full-on before my brush-up or does it help with your revision and exam preparation?

I am considering postponing my course for a month but I am wondering if my concerns are just due to not knowing what to expect from the brush-up and the exams?

I'm sure you'll here from some of the Oxford people, too... but if their brush-up is anything like the Bristol brush-up, you have nothing to worry about. I didn't remember anything when I went for the Mod 1 brush-up at Bristol. I'd planned on doing some revision first, but got a bit delayed towards the latter stages and never got around to starting the revision. But the brush-up is a revision course - as long as you knew the stuff once, the brush-up will bring it all back in time for the exams.

Good luck!

I did Mod1 with bristol, tried to learn everthing in the book, failed some exams not good marks on the ones I passed. Someone on the forum stated that you could take the text-book into the exam room and still not answer the question. Feedback, feedback, feedback. Yes read the books and try to understand them ,but dont get bogged down by them, hit the feedback. it worked for me.

Good luck

DJ.

Pleese excuse the spilling.

Don't worry about it.

The brush up course at OAT just deals with the need to know to pass the exam material. You would be better leaving a month between the brush up course and the exams to allow you to wade through the 1000's of feed back questions you get give on the 2 weeks. The only other hint, if the guy tells you to highlight something in Human Factors book learn it.

Good Luck
