Thumbs up Rating BAE, Jerez

Chaps

I have recently completed the RAF/GAPAN Aptitude Test and got an acceptable rating for me to go ahead and get on with ATPL flight training. BAE in Jerez is my chosen FTO.

Are there any of you who have been through them/ are currently with them and would rate them/ can give me some idea of there product and service/ post training airline recognition.

All advice welcome...

Onwards 'n upwards,

It could be better but it could also be alot worse IMHO. I hear it's like visiting Algeria these days as well as Spain which is a cultural plus I guess.
Interesting that a "British" company would put potential British customers through expensive aptitude testing to be given the opportunity to spend £50k+ with them. I wouldn't find this so curious if I genuinely thought for one minute they have a genuine interest in students not losing their money but I have a sneeky suspicion it's more to do with fewer places being available nowdays due to affore mentioned Algerian connection.

Good swimming pool, bar and aircraft. Experienced staff from military backgrounds make the classroom training more enjoyable. Weather is not as you would imagine it to be alot of the time but when it's good it's very good! Groundschool notes could've been tons better when I was with them and to be negative but honest I doubt they're much better these days as I know guys that went through BAE in the early 90's who say the notes were crap back then! Invest in Bristol & Oxford for certain subjects which will become clear once you start studies.

Training issues aside, you will find the whole experience a big impact on your life and you will leave a changed man/woman as your life during the 14 months (or however long you choose to stay) will be completely different from anything you can imagine and have experienced before unless you have a military or HMP background.

You could choose worse places to go. Good luck and enjoy!
