Still hunting for a the best school at Cranfield (UK) - can I solicit responses from recent PPL passes (say last 12 months) from any of the schools there. I'm interested in comments on the quality of instruction, availability of planes, alternate plans for when it rains, and hidden extras (landing fees, club membership etc. Cost is a factor but there is no point going for the cheapest if I'm still not PPL at 100 hours. Sorry to make you guys do my work - but if I take an hour test flight with each school then I will be well on my way to minimum hours before I start! Thanks in advance...

Just something you may not already be aware of with regards to landing fees. Make sure that "unlimited" landings at the schools base airfield are included in the hourly rate. I found a number of schools that only included one landing. This can soon add up when you move onto circuits and circuit consolidation (I did 12 landings in 1 session but luckily it was all included in the hourly rate).
