NZ Licence
Hi everyone,
I'm one of those that are waiting ages before making my mind on which country is best suitable for my professionnal training...
Wondering how the NZ licences are recognized by JAA (at least non "french DGAC/JAA") ?
Did any of you have done their training in NZ and obtain any JAA equivalence ?
thanks for your answers !!

Cant speak from experience but the general understanding is that to convert from the NZ licences to JAA equivelent you need to do all ATPL's again and some of your IFR work. (about 20,000pounds worth of coversion)
Youd be best to make a thread on the Dunnunda & Godzone forum. A similar thread has just been run - If you cant find it start another one and someone will able to provide yoiu with a detailed answer.
We have a few Europeans come down here as it is cheaper to fly and I understand Easy-jet are to be sending thier cadets down here shortly for much the same reason.
All the best!

Well ... probably not 20,000 pounds worth but you probably wouldn't get much change from 8 grand to convert the CPL/IR (plus another couple to do an MCC up north and make you properly employable).
The JAA treats Aussie and Kiwi licences the same and there's plenty of previous posts under this topic, if you do a search for things by myself or Redsnail within the last 6 months then you should come up with several versions of the same answer to your question.
