According to the latest list of approved training organisations on the SRG website, there are no FTOs in any of those countries approved for JAR CPL training. I hear a rumour that Flight Training College of Africa is thinking of expanding into that area but don't know how far they've got.. .. .Beware, however, that some countries, like France, will not recognise a JAR licence issued as a result of training received outside JAA Member States.

There's an old England phrase which I believe is approprate in this instance.....****** the French!. .. .Even if you had a JAR license issued in a JAA member state, the common view is that if you don't happen to be French, the chances of finding employment in France are nil to zero.. .. .Mind you, at the moment the chances of finding any employment with a freshly minted fAPTL are pretty low regardless of where it's been issued.

The only JAA approved school in Australia (British Aerospace in Adelaide) isn't taking on any new students at the moment. It might be worthwhile checking in a few months if you can wait that long.... .. .Best of luck!
