I AM CURRENTLY DOING MY ATPL IN PORTUGAL, BUT ONCE QUALIFIED WITH THE JAR-FCL ATPL LICENCE, MINE WILL SAY "PORTUGAL" ON IT AND NOT "JAA" . CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF
THIS LICENCE WOULD BE ACCEPTED BY A UK AIRLINE, SUCH AS BA OR BD OR ANYONE WLSE FOR THAT MATTER ?? WOULD IT BE TRANSFERED INTO A JAA OR UK LICENCE , OR WOULD I HAVE TO SIT THE WHOLE SET OF EXAMS AGAIN ??

ANY ANSWERS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !

If you are to be regularly living or working in the UK for example you would have to transfer your licence to a CAA one. This is however only paperwork (although at a cost - ask the relevant authority) since you will have passed JAA tests already. There is no extra exam, and even your medical should (now) transfer - was some confusion over this at first.

Good luck!
