Question Multi still required?

According to JARFCL you will have to meet the following requirements before you can start training for a Type Rating:
1.100 hr. PIC
2.Multi Engine IR
3.MCC
4.Requirements JARFCL 1.285
I have a Dutch CPL with a SE IR and I am still considering conversion to a JAA license. If I do, I will have to meet those requirements before a company in a JAA country might be interested in me. I know some airlines are already dropping the MCC requirement because they are able to include it in the Type Rating training.
My question is: do they still need that Multi? In other words: is it of any use if I do a conversion but don’t have the money for another Multi?

(Besides the Dutch one I have a FAA CPL with a Multi Engine Instrument Rating and logged 1200 hrs total and 800 multi)

Yes, you do need the Multi-IR but not a MEP Class rating. In any event, you will not get a jopb offer without it.
