Question Anybody got David Hoy's Instrument Flying

I've been trying to get hold of David Hoy's book now for several months. I was told by Bol.com that they could know longer get hold of it after leading me to think they would get it by August.

Does anyone know where i can get this? I've tried the usual suspects ie transair and all the main internet sites, but no luck. Does anyone have a copy they no longer need. I'm prepared to pay of course plus the cost of P&P.

Salapilot,

I wouldn't try too hard if I were you. I got a copy earlier this year through an out of print book finder, after hearing how invaluable it was. Upon inspection it turned out (in my opinion) not to be the great revelation I had assumed it to be.

Having said that, I read it post IR and many hours teaching the IMC rating. If you're coming through the JAA route skipping an IMC then it may be more useful to you.

Regards, GT.

Any other recommendations for a good instrument flying book. I want something for getting your scan up to speed for various stages of the flight. I got my instrument renewal coming up in Jan time and would ideally like to do some reading on the matter before hand.
