Claw,

Would you say this is a good or bad thing, based on the fact that he teaches the JAA CPL? I'm looking at close by schools for the CPL btw.

Thing is, none of the Big schools will do it the way I want to, which is a shame because I've done everything full time so far, and now I'm working after the ATPL's, I just need to earn a little cash for a while. I want to do the CPL part time until July then take 2 weeks holiday to finish! Wish a school would throw me a fricken bone here!

Thumbs down

Have flown with him -doubtful unconventional approach to teaching - he either likes you or he doesn't - e-mail me for details , I would not send my son - what is it , would you send your family...

I would not wish to see a public debate here of DC's merits. Suffice to say that he is a rare and distinctive personality in flight training and judging by the landing he did with me onboard once in a crosswind from hell - he is a hell of a good stick and rudder man.. .. .I concede he may be either brilliant or appalling instructor dependent upon the student. Hence a little research is wise.. .. .I'd fly with him any day.. .. .WWW

I'll second that WWW. Did my BCPL and FI courses with DC. Give him commitment and an open mind and Dave will give you the rest. I suspect that this is where people have come a cropper with him in the past. Recommended without hesitation.
