Question sixth form scholarship

What exactly is the RAF Sixth Form Scholarship?
Do you have to join the RAF? If not would it be an advantage in the interviews to have one over someone who doesn't?

Bob...

There is no commitment to join the RAF if you have such a scholarship. HOWEVER, as of this year there are NO more sixth form or flying scholarships!!...Hope this helps!

There is still a scheme available, in a much more diluted form than before: no flying scholarships, but there are a form of sixth form scholarship still available. They say that you must commit, however this is not a hard and fast rule. Ask a RAF careers adviser for the new details.

I got a GDP 6th Form Schol in the glorious summer of 1991 - shame its going to die. There are no obligations per se but you ain't going to get it unless you really actually are desperate to sign on the line for 16 years. They can smell an act a mile off.

Which is clever.
