$14,800 for a 737-300 in Canada $7,800 for a 737-200 but the latter is probably about as much use as a rating on a Lancaster depending where you want to fly.
Very interesting topic as this I`m hoping will give me an edge over other wanabee`s.
Will I be proven wrong ?

Hi,
$14,800 for a 737-300 in Canada and $7,800 for a 737-200, the latter probably being as much use as a rating on a Lancaster depending where you want to fly.
I`m very interested in this subject as I`m hoping this will give me an edge over other wanabee`s.

The generally held feeling, as v1rotate correctly states, is that a rating with zero hours on type is virtually worthless. The only advantage it may give a candidate in a jobsearch is that it displays a level of committment.
However, in summary, don't bother, in ain't worth it.

Rafat and V1rotate are a absolutely right. Normally the airlines want to see some hours on type. The normal figure is around 500. But maybe you can try your luck on a Biz-jet, where the requirements are usually a bit lower.
Good Luck !
