different licences/countries
Hi,
What are the laws regarding conversion of flying licences from one countries authority to anothers? If I were to hold CAA ATPL and I wanted an FAA ATPL for example, would I have to start training from scratch in the US or is their a conversion course? Can foriegn licences be converted to CAA ones?
Thanks

It is much easier to convert to a FAA licence. To get the FAA ATPL you must have 1500 hours. (Break down of them I don't know). To go from any other licence to a CAA or JAR ATPL one is a huge task.
