Sorry it's taken a while to update you on the latest news from the Pprune/Astraeus Cadets, but we've been so flippin busy you wouldn't believe it.
The good news is that after our 6 months cadetship we've all been taken on as permanent staff, what a relief!!
The summer has been really hectic, talk about a steep learning curve, long hours, lots of flights, at all times of the day and night. I've got just about 250 hours 737 time now and am well and truly enjoying the experience.
Lately we've been working from airports other that Gatwick and Manchester as well, travelling around the country and spreading the Astraeus word.
The flight programme changes to a winter schedule now, with lots of new and challenging destinations to keep us busy.
It's all go!!!
See you on the next update

Congratulations!
I was fortunate enough to be included in a visit to Astraeus which Big Red L arranged a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to Hamrah for setting everything up, and Crashdive for being a superb host on the day. All of you are very lucky people - you are working for a great company with a wonderful bunch of people.
Best of luck for your future careers!

Always great to see another ex wannabe - one more step up the seniority ladder for the rest of us.

Captain PPrune Article in Flyer
I just read the article in Flyer Magazine profiling Capt PPrune/Danny Fyne at Astraeus. It was a very good article. Seems like Astraeus must be a great airline if Capt PPrune would relinquish his 757 seat at Air 2000.... Although a 737-700 would be a great trade in my book...
I asked in a previous posting, but could someone who flies for Astraeus give us a look at an "average 3-4 day roster" in terms of variety of destinations (and departure airports in the UK). Which destinations did you visit on your last duty? Any overnights?
Thanks

Yes Lavdumperer, the -700 is a great piece of kit to fly.
Here's my current Roster, I've blagged some time off so it's not truly representative, and it's the end of the holiday season so things are slowing down:
18/10
LGW-GLA (position as passenger)
GLA - LGW - positioning flight back to base
19/10
LGW - AGA (Agadir) - LGW
20/10
Rest
21/10
Off
22/10
Rest
23/10
SIM (LPC and AWOPS)
24/10
SIM
off to 26/10
27/10
LGW-BFS-AGP-LGW
28/10
standby
29/10
LGW-ATH-LGW
