I'm confused
Hi there, could anyone give me some practical advice-I'm getting confused as to this JAA verses FAA licence business-I thought I would gain my JAA licence, build some hours and then head back to little old NZ. Which Licence holds better prospects in terms of employment etc.
Your experienced help would be most appreciated(I'd hate to blow £30000 on the wrong thing).
Cheers from kezza

Kezza, if you want to go back to NZ to fly, why would you pay three times as much learning to fly here in the UK? Take your money back home to NZ.
Unfortunately no licence holds much chance of gaining you a job in NZ at the moment (or anywhere else in this current climate). NZ employment prospects would have to be the worst in the 15 years I have been in the game.
Don't lose heart though, things may be coming right about the time you finish it all. If you do have the money and can stay in the UK, then in the long run, the quality of job you can get here is much better than opportunities down under.
Good luck.
