Thumbs up PPSC Demise - Claim Your Losses

For those of you that have lost money with the closure of PPSC, there is hope if you paid by credit card.

I have just received confirmation that the total amount owing to me has been credited to my account, even though I initially paid for it nealry 13 months ago.

The first thing to do is contact Buchannons in Southampton, Tel: 02380 221222 - these are the accountants dealing with the liquidation - and ask for a proof of deby form. Then contact your credit card company and write with full details, enclosing copies of statements, etc. Then wait...

Buchannons told me that the details provided to them by PPSC for the correspondance students was rather vague, so give them a call and make sure you are listed as a creditor.

Very sorry to hear of their demise. I can remember meeting the proprietors years ago at Cranfield when they were just in the process of replacing old Nabarro of Avigation - with whom I did my CPL writtens. I did my ATPL with the outfit and then some bolt on bits when I started to aspire to fly pressurised jets. They will be sadly missed. There is certainly a niche market out there for somebody, unless the implementation of this wretched JAR has removed the requirement which they and Avigation before them filled so successfully for so long.
