JAA Flying Instructor Course....Best School?
I am going to start my JAA FI(R) in November and am looking to find info on the best school to do this at? I am possibly looking to go to either EFT or IFTA in Florida.. Any one been to these? Any one just completed there course either here in the UK or at EFT or IFTA I would appreciate your comments in terms of how they found the course, school and also have they found work yet instructing!?!?
Cheers!

EFT are a (friendly) rival next door to us, but I can say they are excellent for this course. I am sitting my FI(R) at BFC because they are equally good and I work for them! I'm sure comments will come up about IFTA. I must say that from what I heard their flying operation was always better than their ATPL groundschool was.

Would personally recommend old sarum flying club in wiltshire the instructor that teaches there is incredible and used to be the chief test pilot at Boscombe Down ETPS (Empire test pilot school) truly very good with a very personal setup you can get hold of them on 01722 322 525 and no i don't work there so i'm not biased!!!

Mr Seagul,
Everyone I've spoken to has recommended Chris Caine at C&S Aviation at Halfpenny Green (aka Wolverhampton Business Airport!)
He is a senior CAA examiner and has an excellent pass rate.
You can contact him on 01384 221335
Cheers

Naturally I would say Aeros at Glouceter 01452 857419 orhttp://www.aeros.co.uk as its a great school with excellent facilities. Gloucester airport is an ideal GA airport with 6 runways (3 pieces of tarmac) and attractive countryside in open FIR. Additionally you dont get messed around at the hold waiting for commercial traffic to land/take-off.
If you want to do a course in November you are leaving it a bit late to book as most schools have a waiting list of a couple of months.
cheers
