We all learn differently. I only work well under pressure. I booked my first 4 exams a month in advance then I studied like crazy. Nothing motivates you quite like a deadline you've spent money on.

Start with the question bank(s) then (and only if you have time) read the books. I studied full time at home and found 1 week per subject worked very well for me. Rinse and repeat.

By full time I mean dawn to dusk. If I had given myself longer than a month I would not have worked as hard. Having a full time job and family will increase the time you need exponentially.

Hello Rudestuff thank you for the reply. Can you kindly advise:
1: when you started did you start by doing ground school or you just started by doing the question banks
2: how long did it take you to finish the exams
3: Did you do distance learning ground school and which Academy do you use. I'm thinking of using Bristol Ground School.

1. I did the question banks first, they teach you the 'what'. I only read the ground school of I needed to know 'how' or 'why'.
2. I did it in 4 blocks of 4 weeks. Studying 4/4/3/3 subjects at a time. The plan was to roll any fails over with 2 spare sittings (not required).
3. Distance learning with CATS although really I was just paying for the sign-off. BGS for the QBs. Google and YouTube to actually learn stuff.

Good-Day Rudestuff, thank you very much for the reply. I've been informed and enlightened. Can you kindly advise which question bank is better between BGS question banks and ATPL Q. I'm a bit confused as to which one I should take.

The more QBs the merrier. I only used BGS but others are obviously available.
