Funding flying lessons
My instructor told me i should fly at least once a week to make progress for the PPL. I'd like to know what I can do to pay for an hour lesson each week (£135), eg. what kind of job pays that well for a 16yr old?

Speedy ...... please don't tell me thats the hourly rate <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> . If it is then I suggest you look at other schools. When I did my training in a C152 I thought my rate was bad at £96 an hour. If you can find cheap hire then you'll be able to fly more often <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> .
It can be difficult to fund a PPL at 16. I spend the best part of 6k doing mine over 14 months. It made me pretty broke and i've got a full time job. Have you considered taking the opportunity to do your PPL over a couple of months. There are quite a few offers going about where you can do the who lot for about 3k (i think). If i'd have had the time to do this then i'd have gone this route. It will work out cheaper.
As to answer you original question, it really depends on what you can find. No job will be perfect. A pointer - don't get a job where you only work on nice sunny days!

I have got my PPL and now looking towards the CPL/IR
When i finished my PPL i wrote letters to every company i could think of in my local area explaining what i was doing and what i wanted to do and asking them if they could 'sponsor me for a flying lesson' for about £100.
I was surprised - most didn't bother writing back, some wrote and said sorry, a few sent me some money and one sent me enough for 20 lessons !!! a huge surprise and the realisation that other people believed in me aswell as myself.
Another suggestion is to contact the local newspaper you have see if they would be interested in a feature on you, i.e. 16yr old learns to fly !!
They did that for me and it helped, some companies wrote to me after reading it in the paper etc.
