PPL in Hungary
Hi! I have started my PPL theory exam and have passed 4/9 exams. I was wondering which question banks to use because AviationExam and BGS dont seem to be specific to the Hungarian NKH. Thank you!

Hi Xatom,
I'm planning to take my PPL exams in Hungary at the end of spring or the beginning of summer. In which city did you take your exams in Szeged or Budapest? Which question banks did you study from? I'm using questions from Aircademy, Austrocontrol, PPLTutor, and AviationExam. What questions appear in the real exam? If anyone can share more information about the PPL exam question bank in Hungary, I would be very grateful.

I trust both of you are doing the PPL exams in english, right?
Regrettably I have no info about whether the english version is just a direct translation of the hungarian version, or something completely different..
I was advised my school to do it in hungarian, citing that the "english translations are bad and the questions hard to understand".
As for the hungarian, I did the exam last year and approximately 80% of the questions were from the bank on pplkonyv.hu (cannot post links).

Thanks, Nonsense12345. Yes, the exams will be in English. I will be taking the exams in Szeged at Rivair, and as far as I know, they will be Austro Control. That's why I'm interested in the current question bank

However - correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I have heard, Rivair has ceased operations last year, and with it the possibility to do AustroControl exams in Szeged has ended as well.
...Now that I look into it, there seems to be a few working/non-working versions of "rivair websites" (riv-air.com, rvair.hu, rivairpilot.com, aetheraacademy.com) seemingly all referring to the same post address in Szeged, so I'm not so sure...
Note though, that AustroControl no longer lists them as an external exam centre.

Thanks for the information. I saw that it's no longer possible to select exam dates on their website since the beginning of 2025. I have already asked my flight school and am waiting for an update from them.

It should be. Most probably it's a single guy manually checking his e-mails and activating accounts every week or so. Took 5 days for my access to be granted last year.

Hey I used pplkonyv.hu. It was really helpful for me and hopefully it will be for you too. All the questions are in Hungarian so you'll have to use the google translate extension for the websites on chrome. Good luck!!
